Bhoomi Pujan

A sacred ritual performed before the start of temple construction to seek blessings from Mother Earth and Lord Vishwakarma. It marks the spiritual beginning of a divine journey, inviting positivity, prosperity, and protection for the project ahead.

Description

Bhoomi Pujan is a traditional and deeply spiritual Hindu ritual performed before commencing any construction work, especially of sacred structures like temples. At Chadhava Foundation, this ritual holds profound significance, as it marks the auspicious beginning of a divine mission — to restore, rebuild, and revive the sacred dhams of Bharat. Through this ritual, we invoke the blessings of Bhoomi Devi (Mother Earth) and Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect of the universe, seeking their permission and support for the work to be carried out on the land. The pujan is a symbolic gesture of gratitude to nature and a spiritual purification of the space, removing all negativities, doshas, or obstacles that may hinder the construction process. The ceremony includes Ganapati Pujan, Navagraha Shanti, Vastu Shanti, and the sacred act of first digging of land, usually done by saints, donors, or community elders. It is a moment of unity — where devotees, volunteers, spiritual leaders, and the community come together in devotion and purpose. More than a ritual, Bhoomi Pujan is a promise to uphold dharma and a dedication to preserving Sanatan Sanskriti. It is the first step towards transforming a vision into sacred reality — a temple that will become a center of divine energy, spiritual knowledge, and seva for generations to come.
